The creation of a joint research laboratory « PROTHEIS » and a technological platform « SAFIR » in the field of surface treatments in the New Aquitaine region was signed on 18 June. The SAFIR platform represents an investment of 8 million euros and will be used for scientific research by PROTHEIS. However, it will also be open to companies in the transport, energy and electronics sectors. Indeed, the complexity of this platform will cover a level of maturity ranging from basic principles (TRL 1) to the demonstration of a prototype (TRL 6).
The creation of PROTHEIS and SAFIR was signed by Stéphane Cueille, Director of Research and Development, at the Paris Air Show, at Le Bourget:
